a passing by thought

We are in third year now.Smiling and laughing as we did when we entered the gates of our institution,Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology,Chennai with our parents oblivious of the fact, unaware of the real world.Tamil Nadu is a developed state and higher education is good and accessible here way better then our state, Bihar. It was the middle of August in the year 2008,our first class ,our first day of engineering life.I did`nt know anybody in this college and choose the last bench in the second row.teachers consider studious student occupy first bench and the world knows about the back benchers, the nerds and the disturbing element.Wait,i did`nt ponder so much while taking my seat,it was my instinct which carried me there. In next few minutes two more came to give me company. Both drastically different from each other, one from Kanyakumari was fat and with a pensive face and the Orissa guy had a ready made smile on face and was tall.It was not late when we had our nicknames, mine is gandhi for i wear specs and am bit of non-violent type, well i am presuming it.
i don`t have any clue how and why i got this name and most importantly who promoted it at the top of his voice.crushes, heart breaks and mimicry sessions are the order of the day now.
In another one and half year we are going to part away. Some of us will be picked up by the multinational companies and will be placed in hi-tec cities of Banglore and Gurgaon. Some will head for higher education and still a few will be hitting heads with CAT,GRE ,UPSC and what not.
For now the placement, the higher education is last on our mind.We are just immersing ourselves in the flowing river, taking each day as it comes and sometime pausing, introspecting.i read in a book placement is the last word which comes to our mind when we are about to leave the college and the first thing when we are joining the college`.It seems so true now.
With a strong belief in my heart that each of us will make a blissful life of their own,i will tell that these are the most memorabe days of my life. The bondings i made here, the fun i have with my friends can never be forgotten.

the alarm rings....ah,got to wake up.give me ten reasons to say that my college is good but one reason of me will outdo all in proving it is bad .... will be my college starts at eight .morons don`t even know that we sleep at 2`o clock....
it is 6:30,have to hurry or i will miss the bus.i may be lazy but i am not slow...not atall...a bit of running in the end and i am on the bus.the cool breeze is brushing my face..the fresh air from the sea and the coconut trees flanked by the road....on ecr...getting up early is not all that bad...sleep i can catch up in class too...
five minutes and the assholes will start pouring...nine in all...some know something but most of them no nothing but pretend to know everything....our favourite...teachers with whom one can easily play prank with...
leave the subject name and we don`t know anything about it....a few don`t know the subject name too...for they turn up in the class fewer times... they live on grasses...and love being sozzled....
come the middle of the day...and holding the pen is difficult...to open the notebook becomes hard...the professors...the lecturers come and go and we are oblivion to all of these....who cares....at the end of the day ,the notes, the xerox and mercy of toppers will only help...will make us clear our paper...
it is not all that bad...we laugh...we cheer ....when a teacher goes wrong...when he tries to behave strict...and even more when he says he says he is strict...

and india is 63 years old, free ,liberated rearing to go and make it big.dreaming to become superpower and developed nation by 2020.the stastics has it,be it Mackensey or deolite.google the most developed countries of the world and india will invariably make it in top ten.
wow!everything is so positive,we are coming US,watch us.
but hey, some rankings we are omitting.rather we are ignoring.at the top of the voice we are telling that we are the second largest developing nation of Asia but not telling that we rank 134th in human development index.we are largest producer of milk, but children across the country are malnourished.the per capita income is $950,and we rank 11th.ahem,but there is a iim-A guy trying to beat the records and earn over 2 crores pa and a student from not so elite institution happy to work with three lacs package.there is a wide gap indeed.
IT-a name india is reckoned with ,only that one unfavourable decision from US gives our front line IT companies goossebumps and the share prices tumble down.
we need something concrete, beating about the bush will not help.the bridge needs to be drawn.
